Seiko Holding Corporation, generally known as Seiko, is a Japanese manufacturer of watches, clocks, electronic devices, jewelry, and optical products. Seiko has driven innovation since its inception, upholding the management position of "always one step ahead of the others

For nearly 140 years, they have held their purpose in consistently taking on challenges to create innovative technologies, products, and services. They believe that by assisting in the resolution of social challenges, they will contribute to society, inspire and establish trust with their stakeholders, and create a future full of smiles.

As the corporation continues to fulfill its business purposes, they still value and consider contributing to the sustainable development of society. They are eyeing solving issues with regards to Well-being, Inclusivity, Trust, and Harmony with the Earth (WITH).

With regards, Timeplus Corporation, Seiko’s official distributor in the Philippines led by its President Karl Dy sealed an agreement with The Plastic Flamingo to broaden their sources in attaining one of their long-term development goals through a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. As a global brand, they believe that it is its responsibility to transform its old consumption and production activities to eliminate the mass consumption of resources and mass disposal of waste.

Seiko and The Plaf will support the practice of collecting and repurposing plastic debris into a circular economy by contributing to recycling operations in the Philippines, as well as raising awareness about the dangers of marine plastic pollution. Furthermore, they will work together to fulfill the aims of plastic waste recovery, which will complement Seiko's environmental initiatives.

The collaboration between the two involves the exchange of services from which both of them will benefit. Recently, they hosted a coastal clean-up and collected 784.4 kgs of plastic waste for the Prospex Mission and #SaveTheOcean campaign. Furthermore, they will hold two training seminars and/or webinars for global and/or local workers on the harms of marine plastic pollution, sustainable solutions, partnerships, and collaborative missions with the organization. Furthermore, Seiko offers sponsorship to support their collaborative projects, and both offer cross-communication to reach a larger audience and gain support for their sustainable development aims.

Today, with Seiko's relationship with The Plaf, they may continue to extensively and firmly promote sustainable management by working as one to build an inclusive and recycling-oriented society. Furthermore, different chances may present themselves through which they can create a more sustainable future, and both can be active participants in freeing the environment from mismanaged plastic waste.
